As pets age, masses can develop anywhere on or in their body; these masses can be anything from a minor unsightly annoyance to signals of life-threatening disease. One of the first steps in treating any mass is determining what exactly it is. This can be accomplished through a biopsy. In some cases, removal of the entire mass can also serve to provide a diagnosis.
